Manager of the Year Award:
Scott Coleman
The Board of Directors of the BTAC selected Scott Coleman as the new BTAC General Manager in 2007 from a number of qualified applicants. Scott had the program management background and the obvious energy that BTAC was seeking. Scott has proven his ability to apply his experience and his energy in the managing of an economically-sound operation, identifying and planning improvement projects and programs that both benefit and increase the club membership. His skills include long-range planning and the development of proposals for major improvement projects. Scott has an excellent grasp of operating costs, budget development, and financial goals. Scott is very much a people-oriented person. He makes it his concern to attain feedback through member surveys and individual conversations. He monitors all the club departments and randomly checks, in person, how well classes, facilities, and staff are performing to meet membership needs. Scott ensures he has first-hand knowledge of all club maintenance requirements and options. Scott has a great working relationship with the BTAC Board of Directors, of which I am currently Chair. We actively endorse Scott as a nominee for General Manager of the Year.
